About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Can a Chinese Consular in Vancouver stamp a certify copy of a death certificate?

I was ask by my friend to go to the Consular in Vancouver to have a certify copy of a Death certificate of his father stamped by the PRC to present to a Lawyer in HK.
1. where do I go in Vancouver to have this done?
2. Is it OK to have a certify copy of the Death Certificate to be stamped?

1. you should go to China consulate in Vancouver to apply for authetication of a death certificate.

2. The death certificate should first be notarized by a notary public or a lawyer; then authenticated by the local provincial authorities
