passport return on same day

Hi, I am a Malaysian working in Singapore but staying in Johor Bahru. I travel everyday to and fro. Can I apply for China Visa for tourist and get back my passport on the same day and collect my visa on later collection date?

I know you need your passport to travel between Singapore and malaysia everyday, however, the original passport has to be left in the embassy during its processing time because the visa needs to be stamped on the original passport. It takes at least 2 working days for visa processing even though you apply for rush service. You have to stay one night in Singapore on the application day, you can pick up your visa on the next day.
