Can I pick up my renewed passport on another day rather than the scheduled day?

Hi dear officer, I renewed my Chinese passport on Aug29th, I'm wondering what if I cannot come to pick up my passport on the date they scheduled me (Sep29th), can I come another day? I tried to call the office but it's so hard to hear answer. I need help and thank you very much!
