Is return ticket required for China visa application?

Does my wife and daughter need a return ticket if my company will apply for a Z visa once they join here In Beijing.They hold a Philippines passport.

Do you mean your company will apply for you a Z visa? or for your wife and daughter? or Your wife and daughter want dependent visas accompanying your Z visa in China?
