Overstay my L visa for 5 months in China, can I return to China with new Z visa on another passport?

Hello, i have overstayed my L visa for 5 months and now want to leave china and return with my new z visa in another passport which was made in my country because i have lost my passport here in China. I now have the travel document from my embassy which can enable me leave without a passport. Can i be banned for overstaying and will I have troubles with the PSB since they would know I overstayed with my old passport ?

Thanks for your post Olivetree, i'm however having problems with the PSb because they don't want to issue me the exit visa in my Ghanaian traveling document issued by my embassy in Beijing though am ready to pay the 5000RMB, reasons been that they haven't seen such a document before and they are refusing to call the embassy to verify since my embassy want them to call for verification. Can i go to any other PSB for the exit visa, can you suggest any PSB for me ? Thanks for your reply.

Yes, it is possible that you are banned to enter China because of overstaying L visa for 5 months. You will have troubles with PSB.

However, you can return to your country with the travel document, then apply for a new passport and apply Z visa, if you can get Z visa, you can return to China and work in China. If the Z visa application is denied, maybe you are banned to enter China for 3 years.

I'm afraid that you have to ask the embassy staff to go to the PSB with you together to prove the reality of the Ghanian travel documents.

My passport is missing here in China and i have a traveling document from my embassy which i can use to travel back home. I now have a new passport and a Z visa which was made for me by my uncle who works in the governments office back home. Can i use that passport to enter China after i pay the fine and maybe have the red stamp in the traveling document ?
