does anyone know how to travel around guizhou?

Question

I am living in Guiyang Since September 2010. This August one of my friend is coming to Guiyang and I wanted to show around Guizhou which is bit different taste as visitors in China mostly spend time around big cities. Does anyone has any idea if it is good to use tour guide around Guizhou as I don't speak Chinese?I just needed someone to guide around outside Guiyang and help to explore Guizhou.

It is not very convenient for you to take the tour by yourselves, since you know Guiyang is a mountainous area and most locals are minorities, so you had better to take a guided tour.

Thanks Tajbakhsh. Do you live in Guiyang? I know it is a mountainous place and just going outside the main city it is completely like open field... I have been to Wanshan and Kaili Mio Village recently but that was with my colleagues so didn't need to worry. But this time I need to take my friend, myself as a personal tour. Though I have been living here for almost a year it is bit difficult to crack the language and get to know the way of moving around. I will think about your suggestion and see the possibility.

You probably need a tour guide, since most of people there, particularly in country, barely understand English. I used to live there and have travelled througth the whole province. Good luck!
