Can I get the Chinese visa in Hanoi?

I'm afraid that you can't get a China visa in Hanoi. As I know, for non-Vietnamese applicants, China embassy in Hanoi asks them to provide residence permit or long-term visa. You can go to Ho Chin Minh Consulate to apply for China visa.

we are un sure as we are in the same situation, but it seems like from what we have heard from other people and the internet that you may be able to go through travel agents in Hanoi, it seems to cost more but may be the only way,i think you just need to passport photos, hope this helps

Thank you for your answers!!! Finally I found out that is not possible to do it in the Chinese Embassy but it is possible to do it in some agencies and hotels like Hanoi backpakers or Provecho Restaurant.
