it is impossible to convert L VISA to Z visa for Filipinos in China, you can find a job in Shanghai first, then your employer should apply for Alien Employement License and Official Invitation Letter, after getting the two documents, you have to return to Philippines to apply for work visa, you also need to do medical examination record in an accredited hospital.

The visa rule for Filipinos are very strict, it is impossible for you to apply work visa in Hong Kong or Macau because you don't reside or work there. If you really don't want to return to Philippines, you can try to find a qualified visa agency in Shanghai to help you to get work visa at Exit-Entry Administrative Bureau of Shanghai Public Security Bureau. As I know, some visa agencies have their relations with the Exit-Entry Administrative Bureau, maybe the visa agency can get work visa for you. But it is risky.

But how about another option like not going back to Philippines? Cause when you go back again in Philippines it will take a lot of time to come back
