Can I get a new China L visa in Bangkok?

Hello, I am currently in China on an L visa and need to leave the country to apply for a new one soon. I want to know if I could go to Thailand on holiday and get a new L visa in Bangkok or if it is difficult to get one in Thailand? I am from the UK.
