You need apply for a China visa in advance in Japan, through the Chinese embassy or consulate over your area of residence. Requirements are your passport valid for more than 6 months, application form for China visa with photo, Alien card for Japan or entry record (original and copy). Sometimes, round-way tickets and hotel reservations in China are also required if visa officers deem necessary.
