Will I offend the locals if I wear knee-length shorts when I visit Beijing in October.
I am a western woman and don't want to offend the citizens. I will be wearing long-sleeve light merino tops unless the weather is really too hot then I will be wearing short-sleeve tshirts and will carry a jacket in my backpack.
Also, is it always a good idea to wear covered shoes instead of open sandals?
Thankyou
Mrs KG

I think you could wear what you like. Beijing is an open city where you could find so many foreign travelers from different countries, wearing various kinds of clothes. Please just take it easy~
