About:China Customs Declaration

Hi I am from India, but working in S.Korea from last 2years as post doctoral fellow. Now, I finish my contract period in Korea and shall return back to India in May 2011 transit through China. I would also like to travel in China around 10days(through tourist visa)(Seoul--China--India). Will it be a good idea to carry cash(more than 5000USD)(my Korean fellowship) with me. What kind of document I need to keep with me to avoid trouble at China custom. Could you please specify and advice me accordingly.

If you will take more than 5000USD to enter China, you have to make a declaration to China Customs.
