Hi,My family and I are going to Beijing this May and want to visit Great Wall. This is our 1st visit. Understand that Badaling is the most popular section and there are lots of tourists there. We plan to visit Simatai, but I think it is closed for renovation. We should like to have an enjoyable and are able to have photo taking section with lesser crowds when we are in Great Wall. Please advise which section of Great Wall we can visit. Thanks in advance.

Yes, Simatai has been closed for renovation. Besides Badaling, you may also go to visit Mutianyu, Huangyaguan and Huanghuacheng.
