Firstly, Confucius accoknowledged fate, but didn't relied on it. He emphasized one's personal conscious and active effort as well. It was then developed to a kind of Chinese spirit - keep striving and pioneering and striving to strengthen oneself constantly. Secondly, he focused on moral values, with the highest moral code 'ren' which is considerate to others; individual must be subordinated to the interests of the society. Thirdly, his education thought and idea taught peole to be realistic, widely experienced, eager to learn and thinking with thought.

He also did not really mention any type of his beliefs other than advice about living a good life, but NOT the afterlife. He believed in peace.
