About:Beijing Travel

Hi, Can anyone tell me what is the distance between Badaling Great Wall and Forbidden City? We're arriving at around 9 am at Beijing by train and we want to visit the Wall first and then visit Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square if we have the time. We have to leave for Shanghai that very same night by super fast train. What would be the best way to go about it? The Wall is a must see for us.

You have to hire a van to pick you up and send you to the Great Wall, then back to Forbidden City. Badaling Great Wall is about 70km (one hour) from the city center. Time you can not make it if you go by public tranportation. Even you have a private car, you have to save time in Great Wall, for the Forbidden City is close on 5pm and not possible to buy ticket and enter on 4pm (15:40 in winter).
