About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

We have a 9 hour wait from the time we arrive in Shanghai until we fly out to Singapore. Is there any way we can book our luggage in at a train station early so we can sightsee without having to carry our luggage. I was told you can purchase a train ticket to the airport and at the same time - book your luggage in and they will take it to the airport for you - and then we could sitesee and get the train to the airport later - is that possible or do we have to accompany the luggage

A little puzzled by your question. Will you arrive at Shanghai by train? Which train station will you reach?
The train to Shanghai Pudong Airport? Do you mean the Maglev?

Yesterday I asked about booking my luggsge in well before my flight to Singapore. We are not arriving in Shanghai by train - we are arriving by ship. I can get myself into shanghai but I would like to not have to cart my luggage around til it is time to go to the airport
