I am Kong Foo from Malaysia. I intend to visit Tibet in Sept. I will put up two nights in Xining. Is it still possible to buy the train tickets from Xining to Lhasa once I am there? Will it be too late? How many days in advance are the tickets open for booking?

Usually, the tickets are open for booking about 10 days ahead of the departure date. Since September is a hot period to Tibet, you would better arrange the tickets through some agencies in advance.
