What is the maximum amount when withdrawing money from a cash machine in Beijing?

I would like to know what the maximum amount is when withdrawing money from a cash machine in China? Do they have additional charges?

Do you mean the ATM of banks? Usually, you could withdraw no more than CNY20,000 per day. No additional charge is required if you use this bank's debit card issued in Beijing.

i don"t know if i can bring traveling checks, then cash it in china bank, or money orders.

i strongly suggest you to get a prepaid credit card from bank of china in ampang,puchong and klang.it is much more safer and easier.sadly you cannot withdraw money in china.but you can use it to pay for hotel,shopping.feel free to ask me.
