can i meet my friends out of beijing airport without visago back into the airport?

I have a connected flight from sydney to Beijing(transit), stay Beijing for 6 hours, and then fly to London. My question is: If I have checked my luggage through in Sydney, can I go out of the custom and airport in Beijing to meet my friends, and then use the transit boarding pass to go back in again?

Hello, Mrs Qi. I am afriad that you can not go outside the airport if you do not have a visa. Well, you can try to apply a transit permit at the airport. Then you can go outside to meet your friends.
