I will be arriving Pudong in T2 on American Airlines at 2:05 and am deciding whether to book connecting flight on China Eastern to Taipei at 4:00 or China Airlines at 7:30.  Both connecting flights are in T1.  Would prefer to avoid 5:25 connection, particularly if hourly hotel is no longer operating at Pudong, but am concerned that 1:55 connection leaves no room for delay.  What is your advice?

I suggest you take the China Airlines at 7:30 which will leave you enough time to make the transfer. It is true that the hourley hotel is out of operation, but there are davenports in the waiting hall for passengers. You can also go to the duty free shops for shopping in the airport.
