About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

I want to marry my chinese girl friend in June. I require a nonspouse certificate, a proof of income and a divorce certificate as I am divorced. Do I get the nonspouse certificate at the Chinese Consulate General in Toronto? Is a T4 Income Tax slip and a letter of employment sufficient for the proof of income?

So, next step is to get your nonspouse certificate certified by the Secretary of the State Office of the state where the document is executed. And then, get it further certified by the relevant Chinese embassy/Consulate General in Canada which holds consular jurisdiction over your area of residence. For the proof of income, you'd better let your girlfriend consult the local marriage offices in China.

Thanks Ms. Enid. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues the Statement in leu of certificate of Non-impediment, needed is the info the Chinese Consulate in Toronto posted on their site under Authentication and notarization. In addition a Employment certificate, my divorce certificate and a declaration of my ex spouses nationality. All translated and authenticated by the Chinese Consulate should suffice as documents from Canada.
