Since you have the Chinese visa and your hotel accommodation reservation in Shenzhen here is what will you do:
- Please, print out your round trip ticket: Manila -> Hong Kong -> Manila because you will be asked to present it upon arrival in Hong Kong and also you could be asked to present it when you cross the border between Hong Kong and mainland China. Also, you should definitely print out your hotel accommodation reservation in Shenzhen.
- Also, before departure you will fill out Chinese arrival card online through China National Immigration administration (NIA) website!
- Book your train ticket between Hong Kong and Shenzhen (Futian station preferably) and when filling out your online arrival card, just fill out West Kowloon as border crossing. If you cannot find West Kowloon border crossing, do not fill out online arrival card because you will do it upon your arrival there by filling out the physical card manually. It is also advisable to book your return train ticket from Shenzhen to Hong Kong.
- You should be at least 90 minutes (preferably 120 minutes) ahead of your train departure from West Kowloon train station because both, Hong Kong and mainland China immigration authorities are co-located at West Kowloon station premises.
- At West Kowloon station you will perform fingerprinting at automatic fingerprinting machine. This is something you should do before you approach mainland Chinese immigration counter.
You should be aware that you are not limited to Shenzhen city only since a valid visa allows you to travel across China. Basically, this is it. Have a nice visit to China.
