Can we apply for a tourist visa of three month valid to Beijing?

Good Day,
We are going to Beijing with my friend on April 19-22, 2011,can we apply now for a tourist visa? I'm confused because when I went to Chinese Embassy in Makati the lady said only one month valid but when I read in the application for single entry visa is valid for three months. "Thank you for your reply.

If you were told one month validity for China visa by Chinese embassy, then you need to wait and apply in late March.
