About:China Transit Visa

Hello,

I have following flight route: Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur-Guangzhou-Amsterdam-Hamburg
My flights from Jakarta to Guangzhou will be with a different airline than my flight from Guangzhou to Europe. I will spend less than 24h on the airport, but I need to collect my luggage and check-in again. Is this considered as leaving the airport?
Do I need a transit visa in this Case? (German passport)

Thank you in advance!

You need to apply for a transit visa in advance from Chinese embassy or consulate in this case.
