About:Chinese Consulate in Vancouver

I have a friend (in China) who will be hopefully visiting me this summer in Seattle, WA. It is much cheaper to fly into Vancouver, BC than Seattle but I assume he would have to get two visas, one for Canada and one for the US, if he was to fly in Vancouver and then drive over the border to the US with me.

Is this correct? I would assume so, but I want to make sure and is it complicated to get both visas at the same time. It would save well over $1000 as Seattle is expensive to fly into from China.

Thanks for any help that someone can provide.

Doug

Yes, it is correct, your friend in China needs two visas, Canada visa and US visa. But it is complex to get both visas at the same time, but it is worth doing it, save US$ 1000
