About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Hi I am an American, working as an English teacher in tokyo at the moment, but i just found employment in Shanghai, so I want to ask can i apply for the z-visa in japan? or do i have to go back to america to apply for it?

You can apply for China visa in Japan by providing your visa or residence permit in Japan.
