About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

I am going to Shenzhen from Japan. According to schedule provided to my by the program organizer, I will be taking taxi or ship from Hongkong. So I was wondering is visa application to go to Shenzhen (Hongkong) different from China mainland. Thank you

Yes, Shenzhen visa is different from visa for full China. It can only allows you to stay in Shenzhen for 5 days at most. But a full China visa allows you travel through all provinces (except Tibet) within China.
