About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

I have 3 questions: 1) My girlfriend does not hold an Irish passport as she was born in Germany, she was however raised in Ireland & her father is an Irish national so she has never been required to register for a residence or a work permit. Can she still apply for a Chinese visa in Ireland even though she does not hold an Irish passport or residence/work permit? 2) We intend on arriving in China mid-May/June for 1 months duration, however we will be in India & Nepal for circa 2 months first. Should we apply for a 6 month multiple entry visa considering the 3 month visa may expire before we arrive & we would rather apply from our home country? 3) As we are uncertain of whether we will enter the country by train or plane & have no hotels reserved at this stage, would an excel spreadsheet listing our proposed itinerary be a sufficient submission for the 'Travel Itinerary' mentioned above for visiting mainland China?

1) Your girlfriend can try to apply for Chinese Ireland, she can provide the birth certificate and copy of his father's passport to prevent his father is an Irish citizen, the visa officer has the rights to make the final decision on whether issuing a visa or not.

2) If it is the first time for you to go to China, it is a little hard for you to get a multiple entry visa valid for 6 months. Anyhow, you can have a try. If your application is denied, you have to try to obtain a visa in India or Nepal. In fact, I don't think it is a good itineray. If you enter Mainland China from Nepal, the visa issue is very complex because you will enter Tibet. The Tibet Entry Permit should be obtained for visa application. I advise you first go to China, then go to India or Nepal.

3) An excel spreadsheet listing your proposed itinerary is not sufficient, the travel itinerary issued by a qualified China Travel Agency is sufficient.
