About:Shanghai Transportation by Air

Hello,

In March I am travelling to Japan but Im stopping over in Shanghai I arrive at 9pm and leave at 8am the following morning. I was wondering is it worth me leaving the airport and going out to look around? If so I was wondering...
1. Should I book a hostel or just wonder around for the night?
2. If I have to get a hostel/ hotel where is one that is easy to get to and cheap?
3. What am I able to do in Shanghai at night?
4. Am I able to get back to the airport early in the morning (5am) by train or is another way easier?

Thanks so much for any answers, I have never travelled before... so im a little nervous!

2. for a cheap hotel, I advise you Traveler Inn Express, Shanghai located at Nanjing West Road/Jing An Temple Area. You can take Shanghai Subway Line 2 from Pudong airport to the West nanjing Road directly.
3. At night, you may enjoy yourself at Huangpu River and the Bund area.
4. yes, the first train goes to pudong airport from Nanjing West road at around 6am.
