About:Transfer at Shanghai Maglev Stations

I am deciding whether to fly directly to Hangzhou from the U.S. or to fly to Shanghai Pudong airport and then take the bullet train to Hangzhou from Hongqiao station. If I fly into Shanghai Pudong, the plane arrives at 5:45 p.m. I believe there are three options: 1) take the Maglev to Longyang Road and then take the #2 subway, 2) take the Maglev to Longyang Road, and then take a taxi from there to Hongqiao station, or 3) take a taxi from Pudong the whole way to Hongqiao station.

What option do you recommend, and how long will it take? I will have luggage with me and will have just flown for 17 hours.

You can fly to Shanghai first. Then you can take the Maglev train from Pudong airport to Longyang Road and then take subway line 2 to Hongqiao train station. Well, this way can save a lot money, but since you have luggage and a tired flight, taxi is also a good option. Take it from Longyang Road to Hongqiao train station.
