About:China Train

Hi, I would be grateful for help with the following query.
In September I will want to travel from Hong Kong to Guangzhou to take the overnight sleeper train to Guilin.
1. Can I buy the tickets in Hong Kong. Staying 4 nts.
2. Can I get a direct train from Kowloon to Guangzhou, or do I have to change in Shenzhen.
3. I speak no Chinese, will I be able to manage to find the correct train and platform.

Many Thanks
Angela

From Hong Kong to Guangzhou, several through trains are available daily. And you could purchase the tickets at Hung Hom Station directly. For the train tickets from Guangzhou to Guilin, you could arrange online in advance. Or, you could reach Shenzhen first and then take the train K952/K949 to Guilin. To find the correct train and platform, you could ask the staff at stations and they will help you.
