About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

hello,

i have a quick question about transferring my work visa to a new employer.

i have all the documents i need from my old employer: release letter, recommendation letter, copies of my expert certificate and health certificate.

what does my new employer need to do next to do the transfer? they have never really done this before so i want to avoid starting visa process all over again.

thanks so much! this forum is great!

You mean the residence permit, right? there is a possibility that the residency can be transferred. But it is a somewhat uncertain option which depends a lot on the new employer and its relationship with the local PSB. You may need to leave China and apply for a new work visa in HK if you do not want to back to the US.

Thank you Ms. Miles. I will be applying from Malaysia. I've tried to get a hold of the Chinese embassy in KL but could not get through.
