About:Beijing Capital International Airport

Do I need to get a Chinese visa if I do not leave Beijing capital airport?

I have a flight booked from Beijing back to the UK but wont be visiting the actual country i.e. leaving the airport. My plan is to fly from Bangkok landing in Beijing in time for my separate flight to the UK. Would i need to get a Chinese visa if i don't plan to leave the airport, but have to go through passport control in order to collect my luggage. Thanks

If you will just stay within the airport area for less than 24 hours, no visa is needed.
