About:Chinese Consulate in New York

I am a US citizen, I obtained twice entries visa, had used once, still have one avail entry left, expires on 4/22/2011. If I plan to go visit China on 4/20/2011, how long am I allowed to stay? If I prefer to stay longer than one year, can I go to Hong Kong to get a visitor visa instead?
Thank you
Lynn

If you go to visit China on April 20, 2011, you are allowed to stay in China for 30 days (if it is written DURATION OF EACH STAY 030 AFTER ENTRY on the visa)

You can go to Hong Kong to obtain a new China Travel visa(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/tourist.htm) then return to Mainland China, however, China Travel Visa permits 180 days stay duration at most.

If you have relatives living in China, you can try to apply for 1 year Residence Permit at the local Exit & Enter Department after entry
