About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I just posted the question below: I would just like to note that I will be traveling to South Korea during that period, not to the US. I am a US citizen.

Hi, I am currently in China and have a multiple-entry 180day student visa. It expires at the end of march 2011 and it says I need to enter before Jan 21, 2011. I plan to get another 180day extension in late feb/early march so that I can stay until June 2011.

I already entered in Sept 2010, would like to leave the country AFTER Jan 21 2011 and return in early February 2011 (so leave AFTER the enter China date and return later BEFORE the visa expires, will I have any problems doing this? Does it mean I will have to change my visa? Will I have to pay much more?

You can't use your multiple-entry 180 days student visa to enter China after Jan 21, 2011, Jan 21, 2011 is the last date for you to enter China. Now, you can change your plane, exit China now or in early Janury, then enter China again before Jan 21, 2010, you can stay in China for 180 days counted from the date you enter China. For example, if you enter China on Jan 21, 2010, the stay duration is counted from Jan 21, 2010.

If you leave China after Jan 21, 2011 and return in early Feburary, 2011, you have to apply for a new visa to enter China again.
