About:Shanghai Weather

Hi, I'll be visiting Shanghai during early December 2011 until early February 2011. I know that the weather will be quite cold during that time, but I have no idea on suitable clothing. Should wool sweater and jacket be enough or should I also bring my wool overcoat? Because overcoat is quite huge and heavy so it will consume most of my luggage. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yeah, you will experience the coldest time of Shanghai, especially from the end of January to early February. The awfully coldness usually lasts for only several days and it seldom snows. You still need to wear warm winter clothes. Apart from wool sweater and jacket, I think you'd better take your overcoat or down jacket. Or you can buy these winter clothes in Shanghai so that you needn't to bring so heavy luggage.
