What is it like around Christmas and New Year? My family plans to go Dec 25-Jan 1. Would it be a holiday in China? Would the tourist spots like the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace be crowded or closed?

Besides, the tourist sites will not be closed, but it will be a little crowded during holidays..
