About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Traveling between China with a U.S. passport

Hello,

I want to verify if our trip in May applies for the 240 hour visa free transit. We will be flying in from Bangkok into Guangzhou and from there, travel to Beijing, Xian, Chengdu and depart from Shanghai to the U.S.

You are allowed to travel withing China under 240 hour visa free transit, so all the destinations you have mentioned are available for visit. There is one detail that you should take care of. Your flight from Shanghai to US is not allowed to have any kind of landing in Thailand. Have a nice visit to China.
