Does anyone know what the proceedure is if you want to bring in more than 20,000rmb in cash. I realise you need to declare it but what documentation is required if any? And can they take it off you?

The rules is that if you take more than 20000RMB, you should have the extra part sealed in the custom and get it back when you exit China. The fact is if you bring a bit more than that account, no problem at all, I am mean no need to declare and no one will check seriously about the cash. No restriction on bring in foreign cash. I have brought 30000RMB cash while abroad, safe.
