About:Chinese National Day

Hi there ...

I am a Canadian citizen and i live in China for 5 years , my first question is that
can i ask for Chinese permanent Citizenship card , and what are the conditions ?

And right now in 2010 , October Chinese government has reduced the Chinese visa from 3 months ! to 1 month , i find this very strange ,however i know they always have the excuse of this Coming Olympic Universiade in GuangZhou , this is really discussing !

Thank you for your possible response .

You mean 3 months to one month 's stay for multi-entry visa? If you have lived in China for no less than 5 years, you can have a permanent citizenship if you have Chinese wife, or you are over 60 years old without family members and want to stay with the only relatives in China. Make sure no less then 9 months living in China every year. There are other conditions having nothing to do with how many years you have been here, such as young people younger than 18 years old to go back to parents in China, vice professor or vice manager (and above grade)in organs belonging to the Chinese government, such as public universities. Or you have constant invest in China for three years or longer, or you have great achievement to the country, such as in science research etc.
