can i get a bus/train from chengdu to chongqing to join the yangtze river cruise

Hi,I will go from chengdu to chongqing and join the yangtze river cruise to yichang,then get back to chongqing and back to chengdu to catch my flihgt.Can i get a bus/train from yichang to chongqing or chengdu easily? How long will it takes?Thank u in advance.

There is no train from Yichang to either chongqing or chengdu. The buses from yichang to chongqing needs about 19 hours, a tough journey. There are bullet trains from chongqing to chengdu, about 2 hours per way. I really believe you could take flight from yichang to chongqing directly which is much more convenient, not very expensive also, 660Yuan in full discount.
