About:Harbin Taiping Airport

Hi there,

I have a few questions here. Someone suggested me to visit Harbin for winter holidays. When is the best month to enjoy winter / snowy seasons in Harbin and which airlines offers the cheapest flight for roundtrip fare? Also, can u advise me on transportation and accomodation once we landed Harbin airport? Most importantly, is it easy to find Halal food in Harbin? Any Muslims restaurants available in that area?

The best time to enjoy the ice and snow in Harbin is November and December. At present, Thai Airways offer a price of around CNY1400 for round way ticket, but the ticket price changes a lot from day to day, you'd better book in advance, the earlier, the cheaper. Oh, the price I told you is the round way ticket from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, since there is no direct flight from Malaysia to Harbin. After arriving in Beijing, you can either take flight or take train to Harbin. There are many halal food restaurants in Harbin, the only difference is that they offer food in Xinjiang Styles. For accomodation, I suggest you book a hotel room in advance, and once you arrive in Harbin, you can go to the hotel and have yourself a rest.
