About:China Customs Declaration

I am visiting my brother in Beijing next month. He is a diabetes patient and he wants me to bring several boxes of insuline. Is this allowed? Is there a limit and if so, where can I find information about it?
Also ,can I bring him food items, such as ham?

Several boxes are okay and generally speaking, you need to bring medical certificate. If you have it or prescription, better to bring it. The fact in the airport is the custom staff may ask about them and will let you go after you tell them, the truth of course. As to limit, no special regulation as I checked. Several boxes are fine. You can put it in your lugguage to be consigned. Do not take ham.
