About:Chinese Embassy in New Zealand

Hi :)

I'm a New Zealand citizen in China on a tourist visa (2nd extension).
I've just got all the paperwork together for a Z visa - I'm teaching here soon.
I've booked my flights to Hong Kong on Monday to do that, but have just seen a notice on the Hong Kong site saying they will only do visas for the local Hong Kongians!

I will ring them in the morning, but for you, can I get the Z visa in Macau or actually even here in mainland China? I'm in Dalian, China right now.

Thanks!

Mr.Pete Elliott, I also hear that the China visa regulations tighten all over the world, if foreigners want to apply for China visa in a third country/region, they should hold the documents which entile them to reside there for at least 6 months, such as residence permit, alien registration card, work permit, etc. If you want to get a China Z visa in Hong Kong, you should have the HK ID card valid for at least 6 months.

Hey Pete!
Im a Kiwi and I've been living in Dongguan, Guangdong province for abt a year now...and we have a choice to do it in Dongguan or Hong Kong....Im thinking of sending mine back to NZ to get it renewed...My Residence Permit expires Jan 2011.
alot of the Foreigners that I work with are on a 90day, tourist, multiple entry....so every 90days they leave for HK to get stamped. they are all teaching cos the school is not registered with the government....well not yet.
