About:Beijing Attractions

Our trip to China is Planned for August 2010. How is it with purchases or paying for services, taxis, entrance fees, shopping etc. in China? Is it different from city to city? We'll be in Beijin, Datong, Xian, Chongqin and finally Yichang. I am afraid to end up not having enough or walking around with too much cash.
So glad I found your site! You guys are terrific! :-)

The paying for services, taxis, entrance fees, shopping etc is different from city to city. Beijing is higher than the others. I’ve found some info, hope it will be useful to you.

Thank you Mr. Asad for a quick response.

I was basically asking, if one needs mostly cash or can everything (or most things)be paid with credit card?

We have all the hotels and plane tickets paid for.
Itineraries are pretty much already determined and for the most part, we will be traveling by ourselves, not in an organized group.

currently in beijing, the taxi fares are similare to that of portmouth or similar areas... 10pounds can get you a taxi for about an hours travel.
