They won't find it and check it, please obey the China's laws, if your friend do some illegal activities in China, all his previous crime will be found.

If he click NO from the Criminal Record section of the visa application form, the visa officer won't check it and find it out. The consular officer of the embassy is so busy that they don't have time to check the criminal record.

Hi Mrs Vivian,
Thanks for your reply,

-My friend is australian citizen, he never travel to China before.
If he was about the apply for the multiple entries.
Would the visa officer still check about his criminal history?
(Those 2 criminals records were in Melbourne Australia)

-Even if he was successful for the visa, when he goes to the mainland china, would the people over there still check his passport and criminal history?

-Per entries, how many days can he stay there for?

-And also for the type of visa, which one would be better and easy for him to choose to be successful for the application?
(tourism/visiting relative/business)

Thanks

Don't worry too much. the consulors are not possible to check the record. The stay time is according to which kind of visa does your friend going to apply for. There are 3 months\6 month\ 12 months\ and 24 months visas. For detail info, please visit https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/entry.htm

If Hong Kong custom find his criminal record history, he will be refused to enter Hong Kong. It is advisable to go to Mainland China from Australia directly. If your friend click yes for the item of criminal record on the visa application, his application maybe denied, it is impossible for him to get a multiple-entry visa.

Hi Mrs Vivian,
I spoken to you a while ago.
Even you were saying the consular office of the embassy are too busy to check about my friend criminal history.
If he click no.
What once in hong kong, if he want to go china, by passing the transit custom, would they still check.
Would they reject him to go?
if they find he has a record history?

Thanks

Hi Mr Helper,
As you can notice from my last converstaion with Mrs Vivian,
As my friend's offence was very minors. (theft)
the australia consula embassy won't check, please I have read some few conversation from other people regarding to criminal record.
Most of the advisor, advice to put click NO
from the application form.
