About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

Hi We are a family of 7 travelling to hk in July 2010 , 4 Adults , 3 Children aged 14 , 10 & 7months .
We will be staying at Tsim Sha Stui and travellling around to Victoria Bay , Ocean Peak , Ocean Park , Stanley Market etc .
Would it be more cost effective for us to buy the octupus card or simply travel by taxi ? Considering that we have to buy sepearte cards for each of us .
Thanks

It's more convenient if you'll use the octupus card rather than riding a taxi or pay and wait for line each time you'll go to certain place. For the adult the octupus card is $100HK $50 deposit which is refundable in case you don't consume all. Also, you can use the card in other stores like 7-11 convenience store, McDonalds and others. For kids I don't remember the exact price but it's much cheaper.
