About:Hong Kong International Airport

Hello,

We are arriving in HK from LA on July 23th at 05:30AM and then next day we are flying to Shanghai at 8:05AM. I have two questions...

1. Where do you suggest we should stay, somewhere near hotel or in the city?

2. If our flights at 8:05AM, what time should we get to the airport?

Any help will be appreciated!

Get to the airport at 6:30am. It seems there is only Regal Airport Hotel nearby Hong Kong Airport which is very expensive. Anyway, I think to stay in the city center is a better choice. You can stay near Kowloon and Central where you can get airport express. The first train available at 5:50 and leave every 12 minutes. You can get to the airport 20 minutes later. If hotel rate is not a problem, you can stay in Regal Airport Hotel. You do not need to be get up so early in hurry next day morning. Up to you.

Hello Jerry,

Thanks for the reply. I actually booked Marriott at the airport. We will have a 2 yr old so staying close will be convenient. This way, we don't have to wake up early, get to airport express and lug all the bags... I looked at Regal as well but Marriott seemed better choice :)
