About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I just learned that any Chinese Visa expires for an "expat" or lao wai once that individual reaches age 60. I will retire in the USA at age 55. I don't see a reason to sell out everything in the USA if I can only stay in China for 5 years or less. This defeats my wife's dream of my living in China with her. Is this true and can you explain this more in detail? Thanks!

Mr.Den, I don't think it is true, the validity of China visa doesn't have relation with the age of applicants, As I Know, many aliens who are over the age of 60 days still can obtain China visa to go to China for sightseeing.

My wife doesn't want me in China for sightseeing. She wants me to work at a University and live in China with her. I know an American Missionary who has been sent back to our city here after living 15 years in China. His Chinese Visa and Resident status was revoked on his 60th birthday. He was told that it is a Chinese Immigration law regarding expats. I need to know if this is a Chinese Immigration law. I am not going to make the move to China if this is true.
