Hi, I'm planning to go to Taiwan around Christmas this year, what would the temperature range (lowest to highest) be in Celsius, since many countries' weather change from year to year? What was the temperature range last year?  Would I need a heavy coat?   I'm used to warm weather year-round in Philippines, although a little cooler in Dec.-Jan. but nothing lower than 20C.

Around 10-15C in Gaoxiong, about 7-12 in Taipei. Anyway, check the weather before going at:http://www.cwb.gov.tw/eng/index.htmIt think sweater and coat are enough. It depends. If you can not get use to the weather, take heavy ones.
